Hi Julia:
It’s amazing the effect of the wall upon history. There’s not only the Great Wall of China, which supposedly, according to Nasa astronauts, can be seen from space, but also such structures as the Berlin Wall and Wailing Wall. All walls beg for murals, or graffiti. They can keep us safe, or confine us. Even Pink Floyd built their magnum opus around the theme of “The Wall.” Too bad it was one of the tripster troupe’s least good albums.
Great piece. I hope to see more of your visual essays in the future.

Fascinating pictures with intimate and insightful commentary. So often China is depicted in the media as an alien and strange culture, you illuminate the transformation in China as eclectic and beautiful. Thank you.
