Jason,

You’re so funny! Am leaving to go to Istanbul in 2 weeks and I’d like to know how I could share some of my own stories in the same format such as yours ~ I loved it! It’s more entertaining and it really stick with you. Anyway, I’m sure it was great times nonetheless. Thanks for the laughs…

Jason, with your voice and presentation, I felt I was watching a documentary in one of those IMAX Dome theatres. And then you brought on the smiles still sounding so poignant!
Looking forward to see more of your tours!

You say “I have no carpet” and call the guy who sold it a con man. Does that mean you never received the carpet?

Sounds like you had a nice time, had a home-cooked meal that I am sure was delicious. The carpet most likely cost less than if you bought it here. So what’s the problem? Did they hold a gun to your head?

This reminds me of being in China and spending $50 on crane paintings just so I could talk a bit longer with some young girls about what life was like for teens in China. You aren’t so much buying a rug or painting or other souvenir as you are an experience. And the extra they tack on to the price cause you are a tourist is the tax you have to pay for that glimpse inside a culture.
